Most interesting is Pacult's examination of American popularculture and its effect on the bourbon business: how bourbon becamedéclassé in the 1970s, the venerable spirit losing out tosexy newcomer vodka (and its inadvertent pitchman, James Bond), andhow scotch whiskey's rising popularity in the 1980s fueled theproduction of bourbon's answer to the single-malt, the small-batchbourbon. Illustrations also accompany each story; some are close-up photos which show details such as dried eyeballs, tattooed skin, or facial hair. There was not a single chapter that I did not cry and pondered on the deepest, darkest places of my own existence. This book would be helpful and useful to any teaching professional, player eager to enhance his or her game, or to a parent of a tennis player. Is Heaven a real place.
